Green roof at Avinguda Vallcarca

On the terrace of a building on Vallcarca avenue there was already a green roof with grass and a swimming pool, but it had water leaks. Therefore, between April and May 2021, Eixverd was in charge of restoring it. We removed all 50 cm of soil and the grass and added a waterproof anti-root membrane. Then we installed the technical layers together with polystyrene to reduce the thickness of the soil and finally we put 25 cm of Zincoterra substrate for grass and a sod of grass.

This green roof occupies about 80 m² and is equipped with a vapor barrier system and a 4 cm drainage layer.
