Nursery Yard for Dr. Rizal

In this ground-floor premise in the Gracia neighborhood, with a large interior patio, a nursery was set up. The patio, which was our project, had to end up being a recreational, safe, and clean space. We decided to design a very simple space with very well defined areas.

There would be a sandbox, some garden tables, and the main play area. We thoroughly cleaned the walls, the ground and the pavement, removed roots, dirt and accumulated gravel, until we reached the original pavement.

An anti-root sheet was installed in the large playing area and on top of that a large sand container was built with wood, and the sand of the sandbox was also installed. At the back of the patio, low cultivation tables and a large area with artificial grass were set up.

A fence made of reeds and planters with Eugenias were installed to cover a fibre cement wall, to naturalize the left part of the patio.
