We grow food on roofs &#8211;\u00a0converting neglected spaces into productive farmland and environmental safeguards. \u00a0We create spaces for communities to\u00a0interact with and learn about food, in order to establish\u00a0agriculture as a fixture of city life.<\/p>\n<p>The entity\u00a0operates a network of rooftop farms across the DC metro area, including a 15,000\u00a0square foot farm located\u00a0a block away from\u00a0Nationals Stadium that produces everything from baby greens to melons and features two beehives. The farm&#8217;s event space overlooks the DC skyline, and is available\u00a0from April-October for private events including company outings, brunches, dinners, cocktail receptions and more.<\/p>\n<p>Another of their large operations includes a\u00a025,000 square foot farm in the Navy Yard is located just two\u00a0blocks away from the Farm at 55 M Street.\u00a0With views of the Capitol, Washington Monument, and Nationals Park, the Farm at 55 M Street is home to one of the most unique event venues in DC.<\/p>\n<p>Up Top Acres&#8217; produce can be found in restaurants and retailers across DC and Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>They also offer a weekly delivery of microgreens to people&#8217;s homes, and will have a presence at farmers markets starting in the Spring of 2017.\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elevate Your Eating Up Top Acres is reimagining what a farm looks like.
